International Relations Undergraduate Program
The field of international relations no longer deals exclusively with inter-state relations but also includes the analyses of interactions among societies, civil society organizations, transnational actors, and individuals. In this context, the Department of International Relations aims to raise human resources who can comprehend, analyze and evaluate:
- Political, economic and social developments,
- Inter-state diplomatic relations,
- Interaction between different international actors, and
- Phenomena, problems and events in the history of world politics.
The department is also committed to support students through its formal partnerships with universities abroad, Erasmus contracts for student exchange, internships, and cooperation with European Union institutions and other international organizations. Students are also offered an additional foreign language besides English, which is the instruction language of the program.
COURSE CONTENTS
Yaşar University International Relations Bachelor’s Program offers a curriculum that is based upon universal education standards of the International Relations discipline, and employs current educational techniques that equips students with inter-disciplinary career material. Through this curriculum, students learn and process inter-disciplinary knowledge in various fields such as political science, law, history, and economy. In addition, the program offers a wide range of elective courses that help students specialize in the academic fields of their own choosing.
